Law Enforcement Division

The law enforcement division consists of 60 Sworn Sheriff's Officers, with County Wide Jurisdiction of over 305 square miles.  Sheriff's Officers assist local police departments, enforce criminal laws relating to fraud at the Somerville Motor Vehicle Commission, conduct prisoner transports, enforce traffic laws, serve civil process, execute warrants, transport inmates to court hearings and State Prison,  and provide court security for Superior Court Judges at the County Courthouse.
