Sheriff Provenzano Sworn In For Third Term

On January 4, 2008 at the Historic Courthouse in Somerville, Frank Provenzano was sworn in for a third term as Somerset County Sheriff. Accompanying the Sheriff were his wife Lou Ann Provenzano and his father in-law Louis Sterlacci. The Hon. Thomas H. Dilts officiated at the ceremony. Sheriff Provenzano discussed the many programs he has initiated during his two terms in office, such as - Project Lifesaver, K-9 Unit, Special Response Team (SRT), W.H.A.L.E, and beginning the process of accreditation for the Somerset County Sheriff's Office through the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police. Sheriff Provenzano will continue making the safety and security of Somerset County residents paramount throughout this third term. From additional senior safety talks to sheriff's officers now being trained in using pediatric first aid equipment, the Somerset County Sheriff's Office looks forward to protecting and serving the residents of Somerset County.
